Employment Scamming

Scamming Through Employment Process

It was payday when my phone rang and someone introduced her name, told me that she was from a multinational company that she saw my information in the "internet". She asks me if I can lend her my time to listen to her. So I said yes, she told me that they have thousands of employees all over the Philippines and looking for employees that could join their "BIG TEAM" and that they could offer me better employment package. So I said yes of course everybody wants that. She told me that they have companies on Ortigas, Makati, Libis even Singapore and Malaysia. She ask me for a meeting scheduled somewhere in Ortigas to discuss further about their company and so I said yes because I was so interested of what she said. She really got my attention.

After that I got home and saw my friend on his laptop and ask him to search for "Seven S Seven Group" We Google it but we were shock that there is no such "Seven S Seven Group" in the internet. So my friend texted the "recruiter" and ask if what is the exact address of their company. But she said its somewhere in Ortigas. So we googled it again and again no such company in Ortigas. My friend told me to ask the recruiter of their office address and location. But the recruiter insisted that other information will only be discussed in the said coming meeting. We were thinking that if it is really true that she is working on a "Big Multi-National Company" there should be at least company web-site and exact company address.

We Google other information she said like their offices in Makati,Singapore, Malaysia but we found nothing. We ask the recruiter other information that could lead us to their multinational company but none of this she provided us. That is the time we found out that I am supposed to be scammed. This is scary, scammers can now have access to our information thru job sites, like Jobs Street, jobs db and many more.

This just proves that our personal information stored in the internet is not that secured. For you who are looking for new jobs please ask Google about their information like company address company web-site and many more so you can avoid such scamming like this. I canceled the meeting to be safe.

If this kind of employment do really exist recruiter should at least provide firm in formations that could make their statement concrete and believable. So that job seekers can have their security.
